Stephen Curry Wins Fifth SoCon Player of the Week Award this Season

Coming off of wins against West Virginia and UT Chattanooga, Davidson Wildcats guard Stephen Curry has been named the Southern Conference Player of the Week.

During the week of Dec. 9th to Dec. 15th, Curry averaged 34 points and eight assists in the two games. He also added five steals and two blocks.

Highlights of the week include Curry scoring all ten of a 10-4 run at the end of the West Virginia game in Madison Square Garden to lead the Wildcats to a win. 

He also set a school-record by scoring 31 points in the second half of the UTC game on his way to 41 points overall and another win.

Davidson and Curry continue their season Dec. 20th against Purdue.

    Who else is ever going to deserve that award more than him?

    Even if he sits out an entire week, he should still win it.

    Like Curry would sit out a week, the guy barely gets to sit out 5 minutes to wipe the sweat from his brow!
